Primate in the middle
(3 players)
Two players draw 5 cards apiece, which can be any cards from any category/categories. A third player (the primate in the middle) draws no cards. The two players with cards may look at the questions and the answers on the cards, but the third player (the primate) is not allowed to see any card.
Each of the two players with cards chooses one of her/his cards and asks the primate the question on the card. The primate can choose which one of the 2 she/he wishes to answer, and does so. If the answer is correct, the primate gets 20 points. If the primate can answer the second question correctly as well, then she/he receives an additional 30 points. If either answer is wrong, the player that asked the question earns 10 points, whereas the primate neither earns nor loses any points for wrong answers.
The two cards are now discarded regardless of whether the answers were right or wrong. Play continues with each of the two card-bearing players discarding all cards and drawing 5 new cards. From these 5 cards, each player again chooses one and asks the primate to answer one (or both, if she/he wishes to try) of the questions, with play continuing as described above.
Play continues for 4 more hands (total of 5 pairs of questions asked) with the same player as the primate. Then the players change roles: one of the other two players becomes the primate, while the player that previously was the primate now draws 5 new cards as does the other player. This second round proceeds like the first.
After finishing this round with the second primate, the roles switch again such that the primate is now the last player that has not yet been the primate. A complete game consists of 3 rounds, each with a different player in the role of the primate.
The winner is the player with the highest total point score.
