Vet swap

(2 players or more)

Each player receives 10 cards, which can be from one category or multiple categories. The players can look at the question side of the cards but not the answer side, so a player’s cards should be held close together, question side facing the player, or laid down in front of each player, question side up.

Each player looks at her/his cards and chooses the least favorite one out of the 10 cards, and passes it to the player to her/his left.

One at a time, each player now selects 2 questions and reads and answers those 2 questions out loud. At this point the player can only look at the question side and not the answer side of the cards. The 2 questions selected must be: first, the question from the card just received from the other player, and second, one question from the 9 other cards in the player’s hand.

When a player has read both questions and given both of her/his answers, then she/he reads the correct answers from the backs of those 2 cards. Each correct answer gives that player 50 points; incorrect answers give 0 points (no points deducted). The cards that have been read aloud are discarded, whereas players keep their remaining cards for the next hand.

Play proceeds in a clockwise direction, and the next player then reads 2 cards aloud in the same fashion. When one full turn has been completed (each player has played once), each player should have just 8 cards left. The process is then repeated: each player passes one card to the player on her/his left, and the game continues in the same manner, with the first player reading the card just received and one other card from the player’s own hand.

The game ends after 5 turns, at which point all 10 cards for all players should be used up. The winner is the person with the highest score.
